How to find a new home for a pet dog
The city of Cincinnati, Ohio, is looking for a new dog for its foster care program.
The Cincinnati Police Department says a group of volunteers is looking to adopt a dog from the Cat-o-nine-tails, a dog with a reputation for being hard to handle and a “nice, friendly” dog.
The Cat-O-nine has a history of violence and aggression, including one incident where he bit a man who was allegedly harassing a woman.
The volunteers say they would like to see the dog adopt a new owner, and would need a certified health certificate, a license to keep the dog, and an owner with experience caring for the dog.
Cincinnati’s Department of Animal Control has no official list of dogs to adopt, but it does list dogs that the agency can foster.
In recent years, Cincinnati has added hundreds of dogs in its foster program, and it has about 700 dogs at the moment.
Citizens who have previously adopted dogs from Cat-of-the-Nine-tails can apply for an exemption.
The department says they can also adopt dogs from other rescues, but that is still the case for Cat- of the Nine-tails.
